Dues Payment & Donations
Help us grow! The Muskegon Railroad Historical Society is a registered 501c3 corporation with papers filed with the State of Michigan. We are always graciously looking for donations to our organization. Cash, will, trust and other monetary donations can be arranged by contacting the Society through the website or by mailing us at MRHS 561 W. Western Ave. Muskegon MI 49440

Donations of historical artifacts or documents can be brought to the club during normal hours or contact the Society and we can arrange a special time. We do take donations of model trains and model railroad supplies but donation of these types of these items should be prearranged with the Society.

All donations are tax-deductable and you will receive a form for use in filing for your income tax.

We unfortunately are unable to "appraise" the value of any historical or model railroad related items. We can put you in contact with businesses or individuals that can do legal appraisals.

O Gauge Layout
Featuring over 500 feet of mainline trackage, the MRHS O Gauge Layout operates two (2) primary main lines, several shorter lines, a trolly loop around the city and a large yard area for storage of approximately 6 trains waiting for operation. MRHS owned locomotives and rolling stock are found all around the layout, as well as equipment from members. Power for the layout is provided by either 3 Mike's Train House MTH Z4000 Throttles.

September 2011 Update: Work is progressing on repairing the ceiling in the O Gauge Room. Trains are up and running and the layout is being cleaned up from all the dust during the ceiling repairs. If you have an interest in operating on the O Gauge layout come down to the club and talk to Leo Deuster (current O Gauge chairman pro-tem) or an MRHS Board member.

February 2015 Update: More work has happened on the O-Gauge layout with the help of several new members. Wiring issues and track issues have been almost totally resolved. A new turntable has been added to the north end of the layout. More scenery and structures have been added. Our O-Gauge layout is now one of the oldest best running O-Scale layouts in West Michigan again! Come check out our progress.
